Starch Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride

Potato starch conditioner

Starch Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride is potato starch modified to carry a positive charge. This allows it to be attracted to damaged, negatively charged areas of the hair, where it settles as a thin, smoothing layer.

It makes detangling easier, tames static and frizz, and leaves hair soft and shiny. It's a plant-based alternative to some synthetic conditioning agents. You'll find it in our shampoos and hair conditioner.

Did you know?: The potato originates from the Andes in South America - it only reached Europe after the Spanish expeditions of the 16th century.
