Rose Ketones

Rose ketones

Rose ketones is the collective name for a group of fragrance compounds that includes damascones and damascenone. They occur naturally in rose oil, as well as in some fruits and tea. Even in very small amounts, they give a fragrance a fruity, rosy depth.

EU law requires them to be listed by name in the ingredients so that people with allergies can avoid them. In our cosmetics, you will find them in our shower gel and hand cream as part of the fragrance composition.

Did you know?: Damascones, part of the rose ketone family, make up only a tiny fraction of Damask rose oil, yet they largely define its scent.
