Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride
Cationic guar gum
Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride is a modified guar gum - a polysaccharide from the seeds of the guar plant (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba). It carries a slight positive charge, so it attaches to damaged, negatively charged areas of the hair and skin.
It smooths the hair cuticle, makes detangling easier, reduces static and frizz, and leaves the skin feeling soft after washing. In our cosmetics you will find it in shampoos and hair conditioners.
Did you know?: Guar gum comes from the seeds of a legume grown mainly in India. In food it is known as the thickener E412.
