Hydrolyzed Caesalpinia Spinosa Gum

Hydrolysed tara gum

Tara gum is a polysaccharide from the endosperm of tara tree seeds. After hydrolysis its molecules are shorter, so instead of a thick gel they form a thin, flexible film on hair and skin.

This film smooths the strands, helps lock in water and protects against frizz, leaving hair soft and easier to detangle. You'll find it in our smoothing hair conditioner.

Did you know?: The tara tree (Caesalpinia spinosa) grows in the Andes, mainly in Peru. The gum from its seeds is also used as a thickener in food
