Euphrasia Officinalis Flower/Leaf/Stem Water
Eyebright hydrosol
Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis) is a small meadow plant with white flowers marked with purple veins and a yellow spot. It has long been part of herbal tradition, especially in compresses for tired eyes. The hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of the plant's flowers, leaves and stems.
Eyebright hydrosol is exceptionally gentle. It calms sensitive and irritated skin, refreshes it and eases the look and feel of tiredness, leaving skin comfortable. It works beautifully as a water base for lightweight moisturising cosmetics.
You'll find it in our lightweight moisturising face serum.
Did you know?: Eyebright's genus name, Euphrasia, comes from the Greek word for joy. Eyebright is a semi-parasite - it draws some of its water and nutrients from the roots of grasses growing nearby
