Peppermint hydrosol

Peppermint hydrosol is created during the steam distillation of peppermint leaves (Mentha piperita), the same plant used to obtain the essential oil. It contains the plant's delicate water-soluble compounds and a small amount of oil, so it smells fresh but is much gentler than the oil.

It refreshes and pleasantly cools the skin, tones it and helps regulate sebum production. It works beautifully as a toner for combination and oily skin, a refreshing mist on hot days and a scalp tonic for scalps prone to oiliness.
