C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters

Cholesterol and lanosterol esters

C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters are esters of cholesterol and lanosterol obtained from lanolin, the natural substance that protects sheep's wool. Cholesterol is one of the lipids that make up the epidermal barrier, which is why these esters feel "familiar" to the skin.

They form a flexible, protective layer on the lips, soften and smooth chapped skin and help limit water loss. You will find them in our lip balms.

Did you know?: Lanosterol owes its name to lanolin - the fat from sheep's wool. The Latin "lana" means wool, and "oleum" means oil.
