Meadowfoam Estolide

Meadowfoam estolide

Estolides are formed by linking fatty acid molecules from the seed oil of meadowfoam, a plant native to California and Oregon. Thanks to this structure, they are highly resistant to oxidation and have a rich, silky texture.

On skin and lips, they form a flexible, non-greasy film that limits water loss, smooths and softens, and adds shine to lipsticks. In hair, they improve the smoothness of strands. You will find them in our lipsticks, lip scrub, body lotion, serum and shampoo bars.

Did you know?: Meadowfoam (Limnanthes alba) gets its name because fields of the flowering plant look like sea foam from a distance.
