Poria cocos extract

Poria cocos (Poria cocos, Wolfiporia cocos) is a mushroom that grows on pine roots. Its sclerotium - a compact mass of mycelium - is used, and it has held a place in Chinese tradition for centuries. It contains polysaccharides and triterpenes.

The mushroom's polysaccharides bind water, so the extract moisturises and softens the skin. It also helps soothe the skin and even out its tone. In our formulas it works alongside other ingredients inspired by Asian tradition, including ginseng and liquorice.
