Clove bud extract

Cloves are the unopened flower buds of the clove tree (Eugenia caryophyllus, now Syzygium aromaticum), native to the Moluccas, known as the Spice Islands. They are rich in eugenol and other aromatic compounds, as well as polyphenols.

In cosmetics, clove extract acts as an antioxidant, helps protect the skin from external factors and provides a pleasant warming sensation. It also gives products a warm, spicy character.
