Desert date fruit extract

The desert date (Balanites aegyptiaca) is a drought-resistant tree growing in the Sahel, North Africa and the Middle East. Despite its name, it is not related to the date palm.

Its fruits contain saponins - natural plant-based foaming agents. In shampoo, they help gently remove sebum and impurities, support lathering and make washing gentler on the scalp.
