Benzaldehyde

Benzaldehyde

Benzaldehyde is an aromatic compound found naturally in the kernels of many fruits from the rose family, including almonds, apricots, cherries and plums. It is what gives plum kernel oil its sweet, marzipan-like scent.

We list it by name in the ingredients because it is a natural part of the oil, not a separately added fragrance. You will find it in our plum kernel oil.

Did you know?: Benzaldehyde was first isolated from bitter almonds - it is responsible for their characteristic marzipan scent.
