Arachidyl behenyl alcohol

Arachidyl behenyl alcohol is a blend of long-chain, plant-derived fatty alcohols. These waxy, solid ingredients have nothing in common with drying ethyl alcohol.

In cosmetics they thicken and stabilize the formula, often working alongside gentle emulsifiers. In hair they have a conditioning effect: they smooth the strands and make detangling easier. You'll find them in our shampoo bar and hair conditioner.
