Lithothamnion calcareous algae

Lithothamnion calcareum is a red alga that deposits calcium and magnesium carbonate in its structure as it grows. This makes it one of the richest natural marine sources of these minerals.

In cosmetics it supplies the skin with minerals, helps keep it in good condition and hydrated, and supports its natural barrier. Finely ground, the alga works as a gentle scrub - smoothing the skin without irritation.
